This website is dedicated to all those who attended Southgate County School, either as pupils or staff, during the sixty years of its existence: from its opening on 1st May 1907, three years in its temporary home in Broomfield House, then fifty years at Fox Lane, from September 1910 to July 1960, and the final seven years at Sussex Way, Cockfosters, from September 1960 until it closed at the end of the Summer Term 1967, after which it was merged with Oakwood Secondary Modern School to become Southgate (Comprehensive) School.
